Finding the perfect warehouse steps

If you're considering purchasing warehouse steps for your facility, there are many key features to consider. Whilst they predominantly provide access to heights up to 5 metres, they also have an array of alternative features that benefit your facility. Most commonly found in warehouses, factories, offices and garages, they're ideal for reaching those hard to reach spots.

Warehouse steps for all industrial requirements

Warehouse steps are well suited for fast paced and industrial environments. Due to their robust construction, they can withstand common wear and tear to ensure long lasting properties. Whilst working at heights, it's important that employee's guarantee the safety of operators. To provide this vital safety, our warehouse steps most commonly conform to EN 131, but we also include BS, GS & BSI standards.

Including warehouse steps in any working environment will require the steps to be a certain standard. Our Classic Warehouse Steps BS Range are ideal for adhering to regulations and ensure the safety of operators.

Mobile Warehouse Steps are a must for your warehouse

Mobility is vital when working in demanding working environments, many warehouses and factories use forklifts for this exact reason to ensure fast and secure mobility. So, when it comes to warehouse steps it's no different. All of our warehouse steps include a unique form of mobility to provide a mobile step that can improve the workflow of operators.

Included within our choice are ranges of different mobility methods to suit preferences and requirements. From weight reactive castors to tilt and push mobile steps, all perform to the highest of standards. One of our popular methods of mobility can be seen in our Classic Warehouse Steps. The dome weight reactive castors retract when weight is applied to the steps, providing firm contact with the floor.

Steel Mesh Treads VS Ribbed Rubber Treads

When it comes to treads, there are many options to choose from. The most common two are mesh or rubber treads due to their long-lasting properties, but which is the better option? The deciding factor will come down to your working environment as well as footwear. A mesh tread offers some anti-slip properties as the soles of work boots grip to the mesh. However, if you require further anti-slip properties, our ribbed rubber treads offer this extra slip resistant surface you're looking for.

When looking at treads, it's also important to consider the height you'd like to reach. All warehouse steps specify their platform height, to which you can calculate the operators maximum height.

The important of warehouse steps regulations

As mentioned previously, many of our warehouse steps classify to EN 131. These set of regulations are the updated European standards for warehouse steps to ensure the safety of operators whilst in use. Formally known as Class 1 certification, EN 131 ensures warehouse steps meet the requirements whilst working in demanding industrial workplaces. Whilst applying to trade and commercial ladders, it ensures all steps are tested to a maximum load of 150kg, including the operator, tools and equipment. As well, they are of high quality that offer a extremely durable warehouse step that can withstand industrial environments.
