How to choose the perfect locker room Bench...

There are a lot of factors to consider when browsing through such a variety of different bench styles.

Do you need a single-sided or double-sided bench?

A single-sided option is a great solution for pushing against a wall. This then creates more space in the room for users to walk but offers a limited amount of hooks per bench.

A double-sided bench is often referred to as island seating as they are designed to sit in the middle of a changing area. This creates space around the benches and also offers twice the amount of seating and hooks per bench.

The combination of both benches can also be practical for many schools. Single-sided benches can be placed against the walls, with a double-sided bench in the middle. If you have many students, this may be the best option.

What height bench do you need?

We offer a selection of changing benches made specifically for Primary Schools. These include both bestselling Armour and Probe brands.

The biggest difference between these options is the height of the benches. The wooden slats and coat hooks are lower down and on a smaller frame. This means these units are the ideal height for primary school children to use them safely.

If these benches are being placed in high schools or gyms, we recommend the normal height ones. If there is a combination of ages in your environment, you can make use of both heights. This gives the students the choice of whichever bench they find most accessible.

Are our benches suitable for you?

Our stainless steel bench seats are often used when medical or food-grade hygiene is essential. Benches manufactured from stainless steel are incredibly hard-wearing. They are also easy to clean rigorously without fear of rusting or damage. They offer a stylish contemporary look but also meet high standards for industrial locker rooms.

Do you need extra storage?

Some of our cloakroom benches offer shoe storage. This can be found underneath the bench as multiple cubes for shoes to be placed into. This can help with organisation and keeping the changing rooms tidy. These are available with or without a frame for clothes storage, depending on your needs.
