Why invest in a spill kit?

Spills in the workplace can be costly if not dealt with quickly and correctly. They can lead to slip-and-fall injuries, unsafe working conditions, and hefty fines! Don’t take any risks when handling liquids at work: invest in a quality spill kit!

Absorbents are part of secondary containment, which is a measure to contain spills and prevent them from spreading. They are equipped with everything you might need in the event of an emergency response.

Before buying your spill control equipment, check all work-related hazards. Consider the chances of spills and areas that often spill. Also, think about the types of fluids and the volumes that could spill. These will help you select the best product for your workplace.

A spill kit will typically include absorbent pads, socks, pillows, vinyl gloves and disposal bags. They are set up to handle spills quickly.

What makes our spill control kits different?

Many of the conventional spill control kits or products don't always work. They can be described as adsorbents. This means spills will hold on to the outside of products instead of fully absorbing the spillages.

The loose granules in our kits include fine-screened dehydrated sphagnum peat. This material is both absorbent and hydrophobic.

Absorbent Socks, Pillows and Mats:

Socks: Used to protect road drains and gullies or to create a perimeter to protect an identified vulnerable area.
Pillows: Provides fast absorption when responding to spills involving chemicals or unknown liquids.
Mats: Using absorbent mats will help protect your workplace from potential hazardous spillages.

Deployment Bins:

Deployment bin spill control kits contain absorbents that respond quickly to spills. Our Binsky deployment bin contains granule sacks to absorb spillages.

Marine Booms:

Booms are floating barriers used to control spills. They include a containment partition that floats on and spreads above the water's surface. They also have a silt curtain that sinks into the water to try and reduce the spread of oils and chemicals.
