Regulatory Compliance & Safety Certification
CoSHH Regulations 2002 stands for Control of Substances Hazardous to Health and ensure full compliance. These regulations state that hazardous substances such as chemicals, flammable and corrosive liquids must be stored safely. This prevents dangerous exposure and reduces risks to the health of the public, staff and the environment. Common hazardous materials can be everyday items such as bleach, paint, white spirits, aerosols and much more.
For extra compliance, the cupboard meets DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations) and HSG51 guidance. These are key uk frameworks which govern the safe storage and management of hazardous materials within the workplace. The cupboard's compliance makes it ideal for laboratories, factories, workshops, healthcare settings and even schools.
Construction & Material Quality
The Hazardous Cupboard is constructed from high-grade 0.7mm steel, to combine both durability and strength. The panels are connected with strong pop rivets to create a sturdy frame that resists bending, shaking and impact during daily use. The base is fully welded from a 1.2mm thick steel sump. The sump creates a sealed area suitable for accidental spillages or leaks, and prevents materials from escaping onto floors to further contact to prevent injury. Upon spillages, unsure to use chemical absorbents to soak up all liquid with safe disposal.
The finish is highly visible with a yellow powder-coated surface. This makes it easy to identify, and the coating features Germ Guard Active Paint Technology with anti-bacterial properties. It is also resistant to corrosion, solvents and wear, making it suitable for professional and industrial conditions. The cabinet is easy to clean, making it ideal for facilities where hygiene is of the utmost importance.

Internal Storage & Load Capacity
The TUFF Hazardous Cupboard is the largest in the range, measuring 1800mm in height, 900mm wide and 460mm deep. It is large enough to provide storage for different sizes of liquids. The cupboard's weight is approximately 70kg, providing stability even when at full capacity. We deliver a hassle-free experience, offering only fully assembled cupboards, which means you can get started immediately without the need for assembly.
The steel construction ensured a leak-proof sump to capture all liquids inside and prevent further contamination. The overall sump capacity is 14 litres, making it easy to clean up in one confined space. It provides a versatile storage system with compliance in mind and encourages safe hazardous use.

Security Features
The TUFF Hazardous Cupboard integrates security and safety to protect stored materials. The cupboard features reinforced double doors and a two-point locking system with a easy to use handle. This keeps both the top and bottom of the door securely closed to prevent accidental access by unauthorised users. This is important to control chemicals and easily track access of substances. The cupboard is supplied with only 2 keys to further manage access to trained personnel only.
The non-snag handle fits flush for a sleek design and helps reduce the chance of clothing or gloves catching. The cabinet comes with free hazard signs for a clear warning display in line with health and safety guidelines. This helps employees and visitors identify and understand its purpose.
Design & Manufacturing Excellence
The Cupboard design is robust and features 3 adjustable shelves, each holding 50kg of uniformly distributed weight (UDL). It features a galvanised finish and is resistant to corrosion when in contact with strong or aggressive substances. Moreover, it is flexible and allows shelves to be easily adjusted to different heights. This provides storage of many sizes and shapes from smaller to larger chemical containers.
The TUFF Hazardous Cupboard is Certified to EN 13501-1 and Fire Classification A2-s2, which is the highest level of resistance. You can be reassured that if a fire occurs, the structure can resist combustion. Moreover, it limits the release of harmful vapours to be contained as long as possible in an emergency.
